The short version
What you write inside Ruuni — notes, questions, ideas, energy ratings, tags — is private to you by default and stays that way unless you explicitly choose to share something. We don’t sell your data, we don’t train models on it, and we never share it with anyone outside the connections you choose.
What we collect
- Your email address (so you can sign in)
- The content you enter — contacts, notes, trips, calendar events
- Optional profile fields you fill in yourself (home city, display name, traits)
- Anonymous infrastructure logs (request timestamps, errors, IP addresses) used only to keep the service running and respond to abuse
What gets shared, and only when
Two narrow categories of information can be shared with a connection — but only after you explicitly choose to share each item:
- Travel — home city and individual trips, per the visibility level you pick on each trip
- Calendar — events you explicitly invite a connection to
Everything else (your notes, questions, ideas, energy, tags) stays on your side of the connection, full stop.
Where your data lives
On Supabase’s EU servers (Frankfurt region). The app is hosted on Vercel. We don’t use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can, at any time, from Settings:
- Export everything you’ve written as a JSON file
- Delete your account, which removes all your data from our database within a few minutes
